On Friday, September 21st we submitted a request to the Lake Spivey Civic Association (LSCA) directors for Emerald Drive and Emerald Court. Our request pertains to the wording in Article V - Management of the civic association's bylaws. We requested that our organization, the Emerald Drive Neighborhood Association (EDNA), assume the responsibility of nominating directors for our neighborhood. Currently, an LSCA Nominating Committee performs this function.
If placed on the agenda, the bylaws change will come to a vote at the LSCA general membership meeting in March of 2019. We're relatively certain that the change will be approved by the membership. In the interim, after consulting with our two current directors, we will put forth the names of our director candidates as required. Typically, each director serves a period of 3 years.

What about the majority of the Emerald Dr./Ct. residents who are NOT members of EDNA, but are members of LSCA? And the members who are EDNA members, but NOT members of LSCA? Seems like LSCA should take care of LSCA matters. As it is, we will have representation on the nominee list now that we are an Association and that should be sufficient for ALL residents on Emerald Dr. and Court.

Charlotte, Since you seek no input nor provide any feedback to the residents professing that your presence on the LSCA Nominating Committee somehow constitutes "representation" is a bit disingenuous.
