Several RMSs underwent repairs during the Winter of 2018/19

RMS Access

We would like to work on creating a uniform system to allow on-water property owners and off water property owners assigned to an RMS without a ramp access to one of the four (4) RMSs with a ramp.  However, there seems to be little interest in changing from the current haphazard system at this time. 

Eventually we could use a system similar to that utilized by the residents of North Shore. North Shore has two (2) marinas. Each marina has a ramp. The neighborhood is bisected so that residents on one side of the neighborhood use marina "A" and residents on the other side of the neighborhood use marina "B". Both marinas have some sort of restricted access. We're investigating how they do it and we'll see if that option with work for Emerald Drive. 

Our ultimate goal would be to prevent residents from the uncomfortable situation where they have to beg for RMS and ramp access. 

​We also want to ensure that the RMSs remain secure. 

Proposed RMS Improvements

In addition to providing better access we've identified several other proposal that we'd like to see if we can or should implement. These are: 

1. Standardized rules for RMS governance.
2. Signs indicating RMS slip # and LSCA Member #.
3. Gate and lock standards
4. Annual inspections
