Outdoor Burning
Residents should visit the Clayton County Burn Ban website for details on when and where outdoor burning is allowed, how to obtain a burning permit, and where outdoor burning is prohibited. Check the Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services website for the latest list of restrictions.
To get your permit. Call 770-473-3836 after 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday for daily reports on whether outdoor burning is allowed. If burning is allowed, call 1-877-OK2-BURN (652-2876) or go to the Georgia Forestry Commission's website gatrees.org to create and print a free burn permit.
Outdoor burning is only allowed from October 1st through April 30th during daylight hours.
